Passion Pit Boat Show NYC

Michael Angelakos, the frontman for Passion Pit, said before the show he wanted to do something different and special for the release party of their debut full length album, Manners. He was successful in more ways than one. The show took place on the Hudson River off the west side of Manhattan, and it was impossible to tell if it was rocking from the 500 people in attendance jumping to the beats, or from the intermittent sets of waves rolling under the hull. Either way, the boat was definitely rocking. In between slamming his head into a speaker mid-song while trying to jump up above the crowd, and getting chocolate cake smashed in his face while coming back for the encore (it was also his birthday), Angelakos didn’t disappoint in making it a unique and unforgettable night for all those in attendance.
